Swim Encounters
All wildlife encounters at Oak Meadow Ranch are based on free will. Our animals are never forced to participate and are respected as the individuals they are — each interaction happens on their terms.
Remember: Every like, share, and comment can spark change. By sharing conservation stories, animal encounters, and ranch experiences, you’re helping educate others, raise awareness, and inspire action. Otter Swim
Enjoy our joyful, unique and interactive Otter Swim! This one-hour session allows guests to play, splash, and feed the otters in a swim spa heated to a comfortable 91°F. Participants even have the chance to cuddle with the otters, as they often nap in visitors’ arms.
We do our swims Monday - Saturday. Sunday Otter Swims are only available as an add-on to Brunch and Wildlife Tour.
Key Details:
- Duration & Cost: 1 hour, $250 per person.
- Age Policy: All ages are welcome; however, guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
- This is a private tour - only your group will be in the swim area WITH a wildlife guide.
- Booking: Reservations are required. Please see booking instructions below.
- Note: Only paying guests are allowed inside the otter enclosure —- they can not be on the fence line as it distracts the otters and guides and takes away from the experience. Only paying guests are allowed to enter Oak Meadow Ranch gates if others are not staying onsite. Thank you for understanding and respecting our reservation only policy.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: Due to the extremely limited availability of our experiences, we are unable to accommodate cancellations or reschedule requests. This is a strict No Cancellation policy. The only exception to this policy is in the event of lightning, in which case we will work with you to ensure guest safety and change the date or time to the best of our ability.

Please Note: full payment is required at the time of booking. Once payment is made, you must notify us so we can send you your confirmation and detailed itinerary. This will include important information on what to wear—and what not to wear—for your experience.
-No Sunscreens or bug sprays are permitted, we will provide you with options that are wildlife safe.

Water Buffalo Swim

Come swim with our water buffalo Willow, and her baby Moon!
$150 per person.
One person at a time can swim and ride our water buffalo. It is a 30 minute activity!
We are the only place in the USA where you get to ride a water buffalo while she swims!
